The Amazon Kindle has dropped in price by £10, but for today only.
The e-book reader will set you back £59, instead of the usual RRP of £69. The offer started at 8pm last night, and goes on until just before midnight, according to Amazon's terms and conditions page.
And if you really can't wait, you can choose Evening Delivery and have your new toy in your hands by tonight.
Wi-Fi-only
At just £59, it's quite a steal. The device has a 6-inch e-ink display, for crisp rendering of text. And it's a touchscreen, so just tap to turn the page. Wi-Fi is on board for downloading e-books wherever you can find a hotspot, though there's no 3G.
The device weighs just 170g, so won't sag your pocket. And it'll hold up to 1,400 e-books, which should keep you entertained for a few years, no matter how much of a bookworm you are.
If you're a member of Amazon Prime, you'll be able to borrow from a selection of 200,000 free e-books, thanks to the Kindle Owners' Lending Library. There are no due dates either, so it won't be like incurring the wrath of your local library staff.
