While we might all be getting used to the idea of the touch interface being perhaps the most dominant technology controller of the future, Microsoft is taking the concept one step further by looking to imbibe this idea within the very walls of our homes and offices, creating in essence: smart walls. The patent that hints at this technology – discovered by PatentBolt – suggests that interactive walls were simply one step up from interactive tables and other furniture. Early generations of this technology would allow for controlling things like lighting or environmental factors like heating or air conditioning.
