Cydia Tweak for jailbroken iPhones allows users to add a Topography layer in Google Maps. It’s been just a little over two weeks now since Google launched the much-anticipated Google Maps app, and already we have one of our first Cydia tweaks for jailbroken iPhones (easy-to-follow guide here). This past Christmas day, Cydia tweak developer Ryan Petrich tweeted that he had discovered that Google Maps has a “hidden typography [sic] mode.” “So Google’s new Maps app has a hidden typography [sic] mode,” he wrote. So in reality, the Topography isn’t so much of a tweak as it is just enabling what Google – for whatever reason – decided to disable.
