Tour de France 11: Rolland gives Europcar two from two

Pierre Rolland (Europcar) has given his team their second successive stage win, soloing to victory in Les Sybelles at the end of a tough day in the Alps. Rolland, part of the early break, proved to be the strongest on the final climb.

Behind him there were fireworks in the yellow jersey group, where race leader Bradley Wiggins was put under pressure by Vincenzo Nibali (Liquigas) and - briefly - by his own teammate Chris Froome. But Wiggins was able to keep control of the situation and retained his grip on yellow.

Thibaut Pinot (FDJ) finished second just ahead of Froome and a trio with Nibali, Van Den Broeck and Wiggins.

Meanwhile second overall Cadel Evans (BMC) lost time on the final climb and slipped down the general classification.
