Samsung Galaxy Note 2 release date revealed?
More details surrounding the rumoured Samsung Galaxy Note 2 have surfaced, pointing towards an earlier release date than first expected.
According to a GSM Arena source Samsung has moved the release date for the Galaxy Note 2 to September â€" which is a month earlier than previous reports claimed.
Apparently the reason for bringing the announcement forward is so Samsung can flaunt its new device ahead of Apple's expect iPhone 5 announcement in October.
Even bigger screen!
The source also let slip on some of the specifications for the Galaxy Note 2, including a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display â€" a slight boost on the already huge 5.3-inch screen on the Galaxy Note.
Although screen size will be increased, the width of the handset will actually be less, with a slimmer device on the cards.
We saw a tweet from Samsung earlier this month regarding the Galaxy Note 2, which seemed to suggest the handset was indeed real â€" but it was quickly removed from the social networking site.
Other rumours suggest that the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will rock up with a quad-processor and 12MP camera, and we hope it will come with the latest Android 4.1 JellyBean OS as well â€" but we'll have to wait and see.
